Gigi Hadid’s InStyle March 2022 Covers Are Downright Embarrassing

Since her very first Vogue cover back in 2015, Gigi Hadid has always delivered the goods down at newsstands. Whether she’s fronting V Magazine, i-D, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Allure or Vogue, the results are almost always great. InStyle is the latest publication to book the American beauty, who takes to the magazine for March 2022. Photographed by Yulia Gorbachenko and styled by Julia von Boehm, the current face of Moschino sports an Off-White creation for the newsstand cover photograph (below), while posing in a retro bathroom wearing head-to-toe Gucci for the subscribers’ alternative (after the jump).

The covers immediately caught the attention of our forum members. “The main cover is shamefully bad. Like maybe one of the worst InStyle covers ever? Gigi looks bewildered… The bathtub one is significantly better, but still not ‘fashion issue’ cover-worthy,” remarked KINGofVERSAILLES.

“Nothing more glamorous and flattering than a mid-yawning pose,” mocked Marc10.

“Wow, Gigi’s open mouth completely ruins the first cover,” mikel pointed out.

“No one in their right mind would look at the first picture and think ‘this will look great as a magazine cover’,” declared 90sbea.

“Perhaps the most unflattering cover image I’ve ever seen of Gigi Hadid and while it’s always a pleasure to see models on the covers of mainstream fashion titles, that open mouth is just downright…unsightly,” voiced vogue28.

Bertrando3 could not have agreed more: “Both covers are SUPER BAD. Who in their right mind would approve a yawning cover and a second one where she looks drunk?”

“Gosh this is embarrassing,” echoed a disapproving phungnam96.
