Nina Garcia’s ELLE outshines the competition on the regular, leaving the likes of Anna Wintour’s Vogue and Samira Nasr’s Harper’s Bazaar in the dust. Throughout her tenure as editor of the Hearst-owned fashion title, Garcia has championed fashion models as ELLE cover stars – very much to the delight of us here at theFashionSpot. Irina Shayk, Imaan Hammam, Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber and Gisele Bündchen have each been blessed with covers of late. Now, it’s Vittoria Ceretti’s turn in the spotlight for March 2024. Shot by Mario Sorrenti and styled by ELLE‘s fashion director Alex White, the Italian beauty and current face of Michael Kors Collection wears pieces from Gucci and Willy Chavarria across a duo of simplistic covers.

“Hum… It’s great that ELLE continues to use models, but this one (cover) in particular is bad!” shrieked DK92 upon digesting ELLE‘s latest.

“Too empty. I don’t know… there’s something missing on the cover,” chimed in matheus_s.

“US ELLE‘s covers are usually great,” confessed tigerrouge. “I wasn’t expecting to see Vittoria looking like a drowned rat in an ill-fitting dress.”

“What a disappointment. Vittoria is always spectacular, but she deserved better than this,” remarked aracic.

Nevertheless, not everyone was left so disappointed. “Must definitely be lowering my standards lately, because despite the general consensus of this thread, I’m very much a fan of the two covers. In particular… the second with Vittoria wearing the Willy Chavarria. I have a massive amount of respect and admiration for Nina Garcia endorsing fashion models as cover stars,” applauded vogue28.

Casting is legitimately everything when it comes to advertising campaigns, and Pandora has their casting down to a fine art with the unveiling of the ‘Diamonds for All’ campaign for 2023. The Danish jewelry retailer and manufacturer unveils its latest which features a whole bevy of dazzling stars including Pamela Anderson, Precious Lee, Justina Miles, Grace Coddington, Amita Suman, Andreea Diaconu, Achok Majak, Raynara Negrine, Sherry Shi, Tindi Mar and Vinson Fraley.

Photographed by Mario Sorrenti, the campaign celebrates creative types who each have their own unique sense of style and if you ask us – Pandora picked well. Throughout the campaign series which consists of flawless still imagery and joyous video content, the brand which was founded in 1982 by Per Enevoldsen has been able to showcase the Nova, Era, Infinite and Talisman collections off to perfection.
It’s worth noting that since mid-2022, every single necklace, ring, and earring from Pandora’s lab-grown diamond collections has been crafted with diamonds grown, cut, and polished with 100 percent renewable energy, and set in silver or gold that is also 100 percent recycled.

Since its inception back in 2014, the American edition of Harper’s Bazaar have bestowed upon us their annual icons issue with each and every September issue and the magazine is showing no signs of dropping the tradition anytime soon.
Under the tutelage of the publication’s current editor Samira Nasr, this year’s inductees into Bazaar‘s icon hall of fame for September 2023 are Kendall Jenner, Doja Cat and Paul Mescal. The trio of cover stars are each given their own solo cover for the event, all appearing before the lens of photographer Mario Sorrenti. Kendall Jenner, in her cover shot (above), wears Miu Miu while Doja Cat (below) wears a show-stopping creation from Dolce & Gabbana and Paul Mascal (after the jump) sports Gucci – all selected by stylist Beat Bolliger.

Per usual, members of our forums were quick to respond to the covers. “Icons? What icons?” asked WilliamsLe010919.
“Where are the icons?” MON laughed.
“I totally forbid the use of the word ICON from a fashion magazine until the end of time!” declared Kerg.
“Bland and boring, two words which are now synonymous with Samira Nasr’s Harper’s Bazaar. Absolutely no surprise AT ALL to see these covers, not even for such a celebratory month like September, have zero oomph or pizazz to them. A downright embarrassment to declare this an issue dedicated to icons – and deliver us this,” voiced vogue28.
“You wouldn’t think these are supposed to be September covers! Everything is just so cold and sterile. The fact that they wanted Kendall AND Doja screams desperation, such a massive red flag,” Benn98 pointed out.
