Forum Members React to North West as i-D Magazine’s Fall/Winter 2023 Cover Star

Down at the newsstand, we’ve become completely accustom to the Kardashian/Jenner clang fronting the covers of our fave fashion glossies – from Kim Kardashian posing up a storm on just about every international edition of Vogue that is in existence to sister Kendall Jenner being declared an icon via the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Apparently, it’s now North West’s turn in the spotlight, as the 10-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West makes a surprise appearance as one of the cover stars to i-D Magazine‘s recently-unveiled Fall/Winter 2023 edition. Photographed by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Alastair McKimm, North takes part in a black and white cover story, sporting all her own clothing and accessories.

Ultimately, however, i-D‘s latest left a whole lot to be desired in the eyes of our forum members. “I wonder if there really is anyone on Earth who would consider buying a magazine because North West is on the cover…” wrote DK92.

“Why is a literal toddler covering a fashion magazine?” asked Marc10. “I get that her family is shameless and see no issue in shoving a 10yo girl into the media circus but I would hope these editors had better judgment. If you’re so desperate for nepo babies at least pick that is not in elementary school. Ridiculous.”

“How much did KK invest for this cover to happen? Terrible! Shame on i-D and I’m sure they are so proud of this ‘exclusive’,” snarled Xone.

Vogue28 commented: “Never have I minded the sight to Kim Kardashian on magazine covers but this North West cover is a downright embarrassment and receives a resounding NO from me.”

“Honestly, everyone involved should be embarrassed but especially the editors,” voiced Drusilla.
