Ellie Goulding’s Chloe Wedding Gown Took Almost a Whole Month to Make

Ellie Goulding got married to art dealer Caspar Jopling this past Saturday in a wedding dress fit for royalty. The singer’s bespoke wedding dress, courtesy of Chloe designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi, was truly the stuff of fairy tales. And Ellie had a hand in designing her dream dress. “Natacha worked alongside me to design something timeless and classic, but with all the Chloe spirit,” Ellie told People.

The princess-worthy gown took over 640 hours or close to 26 days to complete. The Victorian-inspired silk crepe dress had a pretty conservative silhouette due to its long sleeves and high neckline. But, as with most wedding dresses, the devil was in the details. With white glass beads and delicate hand embroidery, it’s no wonder it took nearly a month to create. Even Ellie’s silk tulle veil had a personal touch with the letters “E” and “C” woven in.
