And so the 2024 awards season has officially begun…

Last night, Hollywood stars descended upon the iconic Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills for the 81st annual Golden Globe awards. Stars like Margot Robbie dazzled in sequined Giorgio Armani Privé (channeling Barbie, because what else?), Taylor Swift shone bright in custom lime green Gucci while the living legend that is Meryl Streep walked the red carpet in a shimmering Dolce & Gabbana floor-length skirt and jacket. Selena Gomez had somewhat of a mini Marilyn Monroe moment before the lens of the paparazzi, wearing a ruby red dress and the even the warm Los Angeles wind understood the assignment when Hunter Schafer arrived in custom translucent Prada. Elsewhere, Jennifer Lopez nailed old-school Hollywood glamour while Elle Fanning took deep in the Balmain archives to unearth and revive a vintage Pierre Balmain dress.

It’s been a long five years since a Dolce & Gabbana advertising campaign last caught our attention. Not even the design duo tapping Juergen Teller as campaign photographer was enough to turn our heads last season. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have finally come to their senses, however, and commissioned photographic duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott to capture the brand’s Spring 2022 eyewear campaign featuring none other than Jennifer Lopez. The American singer, actress and global sensation appears alongside David Gandy in the fabulous ads that deliver an endless amount of unapologetic glamour.

What more could we possibly ask for? “Jennifer’s always had the model DNA. Her face is perfect,” declared ivano.

“Love these, the tanned, glamorous D&G woman is back,” said Urban Stylin.

DK92 shared the same sentiment: “For me, Jennifer Lopez can do everything and more in front of a camera.”

“This is the Dolce & Gabbana vibe and imagery I fell in love with in the early 2000s when I was really getting into fashion. Jennifer Lopez seems to always deliver and it is refreshing to see a grown woman with a womanly vibe at the forefront,” praised Salvatore.

“Cannot even recall the last Dolce & Gabbana campaign I could remotely tolerate, never mind like. This, however, with the inclusion of Jennifer Lopez and Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott no less, just feels oh so right and a return to form,” vogue28 pointed out.

In case you missed it, Jennifer Lopez has been busy making the rounds to promote her new film Marry Me. But it’s her wardrobe that really has us captivated. While we can’t afford the luxe item (you know it’s expensive when the brand doesn’t identify the price), there are plenty of other cool marble clothing options out there.

We can’t splurge like J.Lo, but Fendi does have an affordable scarf boasting a vivid marble pattern. Mango is also going all in on the trend by creating everything from matching separates to a swinging dress that wouldn’t have looked out of place in the 60s. Plus, Mango is having a sale right now as if you needed another reason to snatch up all these pieces.

We still have some winter to go so we made sure to include a few season-appropriate picks. There are also must-haves more suited to spring and summer. Think a slinky going out dress and pastel patterned jeans. Of course, anything can work all year long with the right styling. We definitely expect to see some truly crazy looks at MTV’s Video Music Awards. But this year’s ceremony may just be the craziest. From an ostrich feather hat to a spoon accent, the attendees at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards were obviously going for shock value.

After all, skin was certainly in. Just ask Megan Fox who rocked a barely-there Mugler creation. Jennifer Lopez also got in on the action by sporting a lace-up David Koma ensemble. Top model Adut Akech played a little peekaboo, too.

We were treated to a couple of haute couture looks. Courtesy of Kacey Musgraves, Camila Cabello and Olivia Rodrigo. Kacey finished off her purple Valentino minidress with the matching topper and red gloves. Camila’s Alexis Mabille gown boasted a big bow. And Olivia’s Atelier Versace stunner came from the brand’s Spring 2001 collection.
