It has been a never-ending guessing game over on theFashionSpot forums for months. Speculating, just as to who might crop up on the cover of Edward Enninful’s final issue of British Vogue. Since June 2023, upon the news of Enninful departing the British fashion bible after a rather remarkable 7-year stint, names like Beyoncé were thrown around with regards to his final cover star. Needless to say, we didn’t see this one coming…

Forgoing just the one cover star, Enninful called upon a whopping 40 of his chosenVogue icons for his concluding cover. As a result, Karen Elson, Irina Shayk, Laverne Cox, Anya Taylor-Joy, Serena Williams, Rina Sawayama, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn, Cindy Crawford, Amber Valletta, Precious Lee, Jodie Comer, Gemma Chan, Adut Akech, Vittoria Ceretti, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Cata Delevingne, Jane Fonda, Gigi Hadid, Linda Evangelista, Adwoa Aboah, Miley Cyrus, Paloma Elsesser, Iman, Victoria Beckham, Ariana DeBose, Jameela Jamil, Oprah, Selma Hayek, Christy Turlington, Salma Blair, Maya Jama, Kate Moss, Cynthia Erivo, Simone Ashley, Lila Moss, Anok Yai, Kaia Gerber, Naomi Campbell and Dua Lipa grace the cover. The women flocked together in New York, and assemble for a group photograph before the lens of Steven Meisel.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Thank you, Edward. Thank you fashion gods! It’s a very interesting mix of cover subjects, some greats, some less than greats. Everyone looks fantastic, not a single woman looks unflattering here and that’s exactly what you want in a group cover, ” approved aracic.

LastNight was of the same mind, echoing: “I really like it! I think it’s quite striking and impressive to get all those people together.”

“I mean it’s a nice flex for him to have all these names on his last issue, but the composition is awful,” chimed in Marc10.

Thiago commented: “The Photoshop is terrible but that’s a proper farewell – Steven Meisel and legends!”

“It’s insane that they managed to actually get everyone there and still made it look like it’s a completely fake, Photoshopped group picture,” exclaimed lookatme.

“The cover isn’t groundbreaking enough, but you can’t make me hate it. Edward is such a mastermind, and I will surely miss his Vogue era,” shared forum member crmsn.

Caioherreo most definitely wasn’t all too impressed, describing the cover as “super boring” but do you agree?

Not even gloomy skies over London could dampen the spirits at last night’s 2023 Fashion Awards. Held at the Royal Albert Hall, a plethora of A-list attendees stepped out for the celebratory fashion-filled occasion and walked the red carpet in their finest finery (many opting to dig into the archives). Guests soon witnessed Paloma Elsesser winning Model of the Year, Martine Rose crowned British Menswear Designer of the Year, Maximilian Davis nabbing British Womenswear Designer of the Year and Jonathan Anderson won big with the Designer of the Year award.

Back to the red carpet looks, here just 18 of theFashionSpot’s must-see looks of the night:

2022 Cannes International Film Festival

After skipping 2020 and scaling back for 2021 due to the pandemic, the 2022 Cannes International Film Festival is back in full force. Which is great for us since it usually produces fashion moments on par with the Met Gala and the Oscars. Although we have to admit, a decent amount of looks were relatively lackluster.

When it comes to designers, certain ones reigned supreme. We witnessed several dresses from Valentino’s Fall 2022 offering, aka the pink collection, take to the red carpet. Sharon Stone stuck with Dolce & Gabbana probably because she stars in the Italian fashion house’s new handbag campaign. As usual, there were plenty of haute couture looks to go around. Fendi, Armani Privé, Elie Saab, Christian Dior and Chanel are just a small sampling. Custom creations were also trending with Cara Delevingne’s revealing Balmain gown one of the standouts.

The jewelry was also something to behold. Especially when it came to necklaces. Julianne Moore’s Bottega Veneta dress was amplified by Bulgari’s Eden The Garden of Wonders necklace, for example.

On the beauty front, hair really turned heads. Bella Hadid’s wet-look hairdo with sculpted strands in the middle of her forehead really made a statement. As did Grace Elizabeth’s piecey pixie.

Keep reading to see all the must-see looks from the premieres at the 2022 Cannes International Film Festival.

The Fashion Awards 2021The Fashion Awards 2021 were held last night in London. Virgil Abloh was clearly on everyone’s mind after news broke over the weekend of the innovative designer’s sudden passing. (He was also an honoree at this year’s ceremony.) On the fashion front, a mix of actors, models and singers graced the red carpet sporting some truly eye-catching ensembles. Richard Quinn was literally everywhere. Those boldly floral patterned pieces are pretty easy to spot. Everyone from Priyanka Chopra to Billy Porter flaunted the designer’s statement creations. But Gabrielle Union really stole the spotlight decked out in a neon Valentino Fall 2021 Haute Couture gown. Scroll down to see all of the night’s big winners plus the standout looks from The Fashion Awards 2021.

There’s nothing like a great cast shot by Luigi & Iango to grab our attention. Enter Mônot’s first-ever advertising campaign. Lebanese designer Eli Mizrahi’s label burst onto the scene during Paris Fashion Week back in March and its Fall 2020 campaign hits all the right notes. The ads star an impressive lineup of modeling’s finest: Amber Valletta, Alek Wek, Candice Swanepoel, Kate Moss, Jourdan Dunn, Mariacarla Boscono and Xiao Wen Ju. The glamorous and stylized campaign transports us to Al Ula in Saudi Arabia with Carine Roitfeld on styling duties.

The campaign immediately became a hot topic on our forums. “Kate the Great! This is fantastic! Those landscapes, those models — pure perfection,” applauded aracic.

“It’s fabulous, very Mugler, very opulent! Carine only delivers when it’s big budget and she delivered! Bravo!” raved Lola701.

“I like it, seen it a thousand times, but it’s got good energy and a lovely cast. Xiao is on fire,” commented YohjiAddict.

“The Xiao shoot with the veil looks very Newton-ish. As airbrushed and tacky as it looks, I can’t help but love it! The casting is stellar…” said SRank.

“I prefer the finesse of Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, but this is a decent imitation,” confessed GivenchyHomme.

But a few of our forum members were left scratching their heads. “How did this no-name brand get the money to cast these stars?” wondered dfwn2n.

“What’s this brand? They decided to take a shot using supermodels, a supermodel stylist and all this outdated glam,” critiqued Alien Sex Friend.

There was the usual mix of models, actors, singers, designers and social media influencers at this year’s The Fashion Awards aka the British Fashion Awards. While we were treated to pops of color courtesy of Rihanna, Emilia Clarke and newly minted Model of the Year Adut Akech, the majority of the red carpet looks were pretty black and white. But sequins, ethereal layers and cut-outs kept things interesting. The real scene-stealers were the puffer gown and puffer skirt worn by Shailene Woodley and Liya Kebede, respectively.

UK Vogue November 2019 : Jourdan Dunn by Nick KnightEdward Enninful is definitely keeping us on our toes. His unexpected cover choices for British Vogue have reinvigorated the mag. Kaia Gerber, Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Madonna, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell have all landed covers. Now the British fashion bible welcomes back Jourdan Dunn for November 2019. (It’s hard to believe Dunn’s last appearance was four years ago.) Shot by Nick Knight and styled by Enninful, Dunn was photographed on location in Richmond Park (a refreshing change from the mag’s usual studio setting) wearing a silk emerald creation from Chanel’s Fall 2019 Haute Couture collection.

The majority of our forum members loved the outcome. “This is a gorgeous cover. Edward keeps winning 2019,” applauded mepps. “Thrilled for Jourdan; she was always my favorite when I first got into fashion magazines so I’m so excited to see her on the cover of Vogue again,” added LastNight. “What a fantastic shot… Edward is making me believe in magazines again,” proclaimed Miss Dalloway.

But the cover wasn’t for everyone. “Jourdan is gorgeous. I’d like to see her more often. But that cover is unbalanced. The background is overexposed and Jourdan is underexposed. It doesn’t work,” pointed out an underwhelmed dfl-001. “I’m not feeling it. Jourdan is pure perfection, but this is such an odd shot for a cover, it just doesn’t feel right. Maybe if the layout was different or they used different colors or just something…” commented aracic. “I got really excited when I read ‘Jourdan Dunn by Nick Knight’ but I don’t like this one bit. I don’t agree that it looks high fashion and I absolutely hate that ruched Chanel dress. It’s a wasted opportunity for sure,” shared dodencebt. “I love both Jourdan and Nick, but this is just so disappointing. She looks bored and so am I,” declared Nomar. Boring or brilliant? With this year’s Camp: Notes on Fashion theme, we expected stars to bring the crazy drama. And boy, did they deliver on the OTT front. From Lady Gaga going through several wardrobe changes — all on the pink carpet, no less — to Zendaya’s light up Cinderella dress to Katy Perry looking pretty lit, it was go big or go home.

And it wasn’t just the clothes stealing all the thunder. Ciara won for biggest and baddest hair of the night, while Hailey Bieber went with an old-fashioned ‘do and props to Tessa Thompson for working her extra long braid like a whip. Plus, the guys really came to play, even when it came to makeup. (Kudos to Darren Criss for his daring eye makeup.) We must give a special shout-out to Billy Porter, whose Cleopatra-like entrance almost upstaged Gaga’s performance. Almost.

There were lots of suits and sparkles at this year’s The Fashion Awards (aka the British Fashion Awards). While most of the suits were pretty streamlined, some of the gowns were pretty OTT boasting everything from feathers to big back bows. And the naked dress is alive and well over in London with Kendall Jenner wearing one of the most risqué looks of the night. Kaia Gerber picked up her Model of the Year award in style, decked out in a glitzy Alexander McQueen dress-over-pants combo. And Meghan Markle looked supremely elegant in a black Givenchy gown fittingly as she presented the fashion house’s current artistic director, Clare Waight Keller, with the British Designer of the Year Womenswear honor. While cold brew and shadow roots are trending on the hair color front, there’s a smooth and shiny hairstyle making waves this summer. After a ton of celebs embraced the big chop the past few months and opted for a shoulder-grazing blunt bob, now the style has taken a polished turn in the form of glass hair. Everyone from Kim Kardashian to Hailey Baldwin to Jourdan Dunn and Ashley Graham has tried out the trend, making it THE ‘do of the summer (and most likely fall).

Of course, these stars can’t achieve super reflective strands without a little product help. First, opt for a serum or spray that promises intense shine, like Color Wow’s Dream Coat Anti-Humidity Hair Treatment, before blowdrying. If you’re really looking to up the glare, work in a shine-boosting treatment post-blowdry from mid-lengths to your ends. Seven Gazar Polish Balm, O&M Frizzy Logic Shine Serum and Color Wow Pop & Lock Crystallite Shellac are all great finishing options.

Ready to get glossy? Here are 12 celebs who’ve already experimented with glass hair. Here’s hoping you can find inspo in their high-shine strands to match your glass skin.
