Rosie Huntington-Whitley is up there with theFashionSpot’s list of models who’re capable of delivering spectacular magazine covers. Take the March 2011 cover of British Vogue, the January 2015 cover of Harper’s Bazaar Australia and the June 2019 covers of British Harper’s Bazaar as prime examples. Vogue Turkey is the latest to endorse Rosie as cover girl, welcoming the British beauty onto the cover of its Icon supplement for February 2024. The muse of Pierpaolo Piccioli wears a monochromatic Valentino number in the undeniably flawless cover portrait, selected for the occasion by stylist Sandy Armeni, complete with photographer Emre Unal taking the shot.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“IN LOVE!” exclaimed kokobombon the second the cover surfaced.

“Wow, Rosie still looks like she did in 2009!” added ivano.

Also just as equally as enchanted by Vogue Turkey’s latest was oaklee91, commenting: “Just lovely. So soft and ethereal. Adore!”

“Rosie looks gorgeous, it’s a stunning portrait. Can’t believe her last Vogue cover was 8 years ago. I must say I’ve really enjoyed Vogue Turkey’s casting recently and welcome more beauties like Rosie and Constance [Jablonski] who can deliver solid glamour,” raved marsnoop2.

Vogue28 voiced: “Gorgeous! Always love me some Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and we don’t see her enough (especially on the British fashion glossies), so the sight of this is very much welcome. The cover shot itself is flawless, just a straight-up beautiful and direct cover image that commands your attention. Not one complaint from me…”

Not even gloomy skies over London could dampen the spirits at last night’s 2023 Fashion Awards. Held at the Royal Albert Hall, a plethora of A-list attendees stepped out for the celebratory fashion-filled occasion and walked the red carpet in their finest finery (many opting to dig into the archives). Guests soon witnessed Paloma Elsesser winning Model of the Year, Martine Rose crowned British Menswear Designer of the Year, Maximilian Davis nabbing British Womenswear Designer of the Year and Jonathan Anderson won big with the Designer of the Year award.

Back to the red carpet looks, here just 18 of theFashionSpot’s must-see looks of the night:

Since the unveiling of the retro-inspired Toile Iconographe campaign in 2022, Steven Meisel has captured the vast majority of Valentino’s advertising campaigns, including that of Spring 2023, the Rockstud handbag campaign (starring Florence Pugh), Pre-Fall 2023 and more recently Fall 2023 with Kaia Gerber. Theo Wenner is on hand, however, to shoot the famed Italian fashion house’s Holiday 2023 campaign, which stars Rosie Huntington-Whitley, Gao Jie, Ilana Hansen and Naomi Apajok. Dressed in looks from Spring 2024 (and toting different variations of the VLogo Moon Hobo handbag), Pierpaolo Piccioli’s cast of beauties take us inside Valentino’s haute couture HQ located on Paris’ historic Place Vendôme throughout the chic and sophisticated campaign imagery which is perfect for the festive season ahead.

The end result, however, kept members of our forums a divided bunch. “It works well for a holiday campaign. Rosie is definitely an unexpected choice,” commented WAVES the moment the campaign struck.

“She is more a Bottega Veneta or Burberry by Daniel Lee kind of girl. I know she is a model but her aesthetic is so far from this that it does not look authentic. That being said, at least there’s an attempt to capture the lifestyle aspect of the brand,” Lola701 chimed in.

Aracic said: “I like the direction, but I don’t really like the execution which appears rather pedestrian to me. Could’ve been better. Should’ve been better.”

“You’ll never hear me complaining about the sight of Rosie Huntington-Whitley, and despite not feeling like a true Valentino girl, I am ALL for the surprise element of Rosie scoring the campaign with this! Rosie’s campaign image feels fresh and there’s a sense of polished glamour which I am 100% behind too,” vogue28 added to the conversation.

UK Elle April 2021 : Rosie Huntington-Whiteley by Quentin Jone

We’re always happy to see Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Can you blame us? Time and time again, the Brit beauty has delivered, like fronting Vogue Korea and both the Australian and British editions of Harper’s Bazaar. Following a five-year hiatus, Rosie reappears on the cover of British ELLE for April 2021. For the newsstand cover image (below), Rosie wears an Emporio Armani top and a pair of high-waisted briefs from Les Girls Les Boys (picked by stylist Aurelia Donaldson) before a pink backdrop for photographer Quentin Jones. While on the subscribers’ alternative (after the jump), Rosie takes it all off.

But the majority of our forum members believed Rosie deserved much better. “Farrah Storr’s ELLE is dated,” declared MON.

“That hair ruined an otherwise perfectly fine cover,” called out mikel.

“Sorry, it’s plain a** ugly — both covers in fact. If you manage to make Rosie appear ugly, then it’s a pretty huge feat as a magazine or photographer,” complained Bertrando3.

“Rosie’s worst cover ever,” Srdjan chimed in.

“Always love me some Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, but the color scheme is about the only element I can tolerate here. The beauty styling is awful, absolutely loathe the straggly hair in the cover shot and very much doubt anyone is wanting to emulate it, either,” added vogue28.

Benn98 disagreed: “I like the cover, maybe it’s the pose, the color combination with her tan and the lean, athletic physique. It’s also very brave of them to go with Rosie in her knickers, but I don’t find it sexual at all. It’s more trendy because that style of knickers is very much in right now.”

“I like the color scheme. That’s about it,” said annikad.

There was the usual mix of models, actors, singers, designers and social media influencers at this year’s The Fashion Awards aka the British Fashion Awards. While we were treated to pops of color courtesy of Rihanna, Emilia Clarke and newly minted Model of the Year Adut Akech, the majority of the red carpet looks were pretty black and white. But sequins, ethereal layers and cut-outs kept things interesting. The real scene-stealers were the puffer gown and puffer skirt worn by Shailene Woodley and Liya Kebede, respectively.

See who won big below (one designer really cleaned up), then check out the slideshow above to see who wore what.

Power dressing has gotten really colorful. While deep-toned suits will always be our Tuesday morning staples, we are dying to try the celebrity-approved trend of cheerful, relaxed suits claiming red carpets and street style. Brands like Ralph & Russo, Versace and Christian Dior are all pushing the envelope when it comes to color palettes. Changing the shades of blazers and pants leaves room for experimenting with silhouettes and menswear elements.

The sunny suit Bella Hadid wore to the Dior Homme Spring 2019 Menswear show was the very definition of sporty chic. While Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s hot pink Versace set featured subtly oversized lapels that gave it a breezy edge. Here are some colorful options so you can follow suit this summer.

US InStyle June 2019 : The Cast of Big Little Lies by Pamela Hanson

June wasn’t a particularly exciting month as far as glossy magazine covers go. There wasn’t much in the way of size or racial diversity and with the exception of a few fresh faces — namely Indya Moore — the cover choices veered toward run-of-the-mill territory. That being said, it’s always fun to see OG supermodels like Naomi Campbell kill it. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also posed for beautiful shots, while, on the flip side, we got a snoozefest from Jennifer Aniston.

Check out the slideshow to see some of June 2019’s standout glossy magazine covers.

UK Harper's Bazaar June 2019 : Rosie Huntington-Whiteley by Alexi LubomirskiIf you’re an avid reader of British Harper’s Bazaar, you’re no doubt aware of the fact that the magazine loves a good Rosie Huntington-Whiteley cover every now and then. The British beauty just racked up her sixth cover appearance for June 2019. Photographed by Alexi Lubomirski and styled by Miranda Almond, Rosie proves to be the ultimate English rose wearing Christian Dior Haute Couture in the subscribers’ cover (below). She also paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld by wearing the finale look from Chanel’s Spring 2019 Haute Couture collection in the newsstand cover (after the jump).

With this year’s Camp: Notes on Fashion theme, we expected stars to bring the crazy drama. And boy, did they deliver on the OTT front. From Lady Gaga going through several wardrobe changes — all on the pink carpet, no less — to Zendaya’s light up Cinderella dress to Katy Perry looking pretty lit, it was go big or go home.

And it wasn’t just the clothes stealing all the thunder. Ciara won for biggest and baddest hair of the night, while Hailey Bieber went with an old-fashioned ‘do and props to Tessa Thompson for working her extra long braid like a whip. Plus, the guys really came to play, even when it came to makeup. (Kudos to Darren Criss for his daring eye makeup.) We must give a special shout-out to Billy Porter, whose Cleopatra-like entrance almost upstaged Gaga’s performance. Almost.

Since 2002, Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen has ruled the runways, magazine covers and ad campaigns. But after 15 years, her title of World’s Highest-Paid Model has been passed on to none other than Kendall Jenner. This year, Jenner served as the face of such brands such as Estée Lauder, La Perla, Calvin Klein, Miu Miu and Adidas. She also walked the runway for Victoria’s Secret, Fendi, Missoni, Moschino and Versace (to name a few) and appeared on numerous magazine covers. According to Forbes, Jenner has earned a whopping $22 million this year. Bündchen’s endorsements earned her $17.5 million this year, modeling for such brands as Carolina Herrera fragrance, Stuart Weitzman and Vivara jewelry. Besides her name and family background, Jenner is making even more brands line up thanks to her Instagram following, which is currently at 100 million, making her one of the most-followed models this year.  https://www.instagram.com/p/BrNzaSljpmx/ Earlier this year, Jenner came under fire for her controversial statements in Love Magazine: “Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do. More power to ‘em. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back,’ says the 22-year-old, admitting that she “was on the verge of a mental breakdown.”  Other models that made this year’s list include Chrissy Teigen, Gigi and Bella Hadid and Ashley Graham. See below for the top 10 list highest-paid models, according to Forbes:
  1. Kendall Jenner, $22 million
  2. Gisele Bundchen, $17.5 million
  3. Chrissy Teigen, $13.5 million
  4. Adriana Lima, $10.5 million
  5. Gigi Hadid, $9.5 million
  6. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, $9.5 million
  7. Karlie Kloss, $9 million
  8. Liu Wen, $6.5 million
  9. Bella Hadid, $6 million
