The Misses Outnumber the Hits at London Fashion Week Fall 2021

It’s official: London Fashion Week Fall 2021 is a wrap. Just like in New York, brands had to follow strict rules and regulations. The designers showing in the British capital opted to create lookbooks or hold audience-free runway shows for Fall 2021. Despite the obvious obstacles, London Fashion Week regulars Emilia Wickstead, Simone Rocha and Bora Aksu offered up their latest wares. On the other hand, staples like Christopher Kane and JW Anderson were nowhere to be found.

So what were the highs and, frankly, many lows of the week? Well, Emilia Wickstead made us think of Prada, but in a good way. Vivienne Westwood crafted 90 percent of her collection using materials that don’t harm the environment. Roksanda managed to successfully mix minimalism and voluminous silhouettes. Meanwhile over at Simone Rocha, the collection felt more H&M than high fashion. And Matty Bovan gave us more of the same old, same old.

Scroll through the slideshow above to check out the hits and several misses of London Fashion Week Fall 2021. As always, these reviews are brought to you by our candid and unfiltered forum members. A word of warning: Some of this season’s cheers and jeers may just surprise you.
