Kaia Gerber Heralds a New Era at DKNY as the Face of the Spring 2024 Campaign

Ever since scoring her very first solo Vogue cover and landing her first major advertising gig, Kaia Gerber has remained a force to be reckoned with within the world of fashion. Last year alone saw Cindy Crawford’s mini-me grace the covers of ELLE and W Magazine (to name a select few) and became the face of mega brands Alaïa and Valentino. Not even three months into 2024 and Kaia has fronted the covers of Perfect, British Vogue, WSJ. Magazine and becomes the face of DKNY for Spring 2024. Via the lens of British photographer Alasdair McLellan and styled by Alastair McKimm, Kaia morphs into the ultimate DKNY woman throughout series of campaign portraits, helping herald a new era and a new energy of the iconic American label.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Fresh energy? Where?” asked matheus_s the second the campaign struck.

“Gap circa 2005,” scoffed MyNameIs.

Also far from delighted with the outcome was Toni Ahlgren, commenting: “I’m sorry but that’s a no from me!”

“How can she be so beautiful yet so bland?” FelipeV voiced.

DKNY’s latest ultimately had members of theFashionSpot forums a divided bunch. “I really like the photographs and art direction. Kaia looks beautiful,” MModa admired.

“A rather brilliant campaign, IMO. This is pretty much on the money for a brand like DKNY. Kaia Gerber was the perfect choice – fresh, youthful, radiant and all-American. McLellan’s distinctive and youth-orientated aesthetic only heightens the campaign, and I genuinely don’t have a bad word to say about this. Those portraits of Kaia are superb!” enthused vogue28.

“Love Kaia, always. Young and fresh,” added jeremydante.
