For the 2021 Emmy Awards, stars definitely wanted to stand out. From notice-me shades like highlighter hues to blinding sparkles, there was certainly a lot to take in. Not that we’re complaining.

There were also plenty of striking accents. We’re talking opera gloves with finger openings to flaunt some serious stiletto nails courtesy of Emma Corrin and Miu Miu. Not to mention a matching bonnet. Kerry Washington rocked a corset-enhanced Etro dress. Plus, go big or go home sleeves a la Sarah Paulson and Billy Porter.

The jewelry game was strong, too. Yara Shahidi’s Cartier necklace almost upstaged her gorgeous green Christian Dior haute couture dress. Then there were the stunning earrings. Take for example Michaela Coel’s perfect pearl danglers.

At least she cited her laser hair removal go-to place in her Instagram apology.

All the Red Carpet Highlights From the 2016 Tony Awards

The show must go on. And indeed it did as the decision was made to proceed with the Tony Awards last night after the tragic mass shooting in Orlando. Of course, the horrible act was referenced throughout the evening, beginning with host James Corden’s poignant opening. Several winners addressed the tragedy in their acceptance speeches and a performance of the hit Hamilton was put on without any muskets.

When it came to the fashion, there were a surprising amount of risk-takers in attendance. A floor-length sash, a jazzed-up jacket and strategic cut-outs were all spotted. Vivid colors and heavy embellishments were relatively common sights. There were also some traditional and nontraditional suits (including one dynamic version sported by an actress). Once again, we were treated to an array of models at the awards, no doubt courtesy of Anna Wintour. For the top red carpet looks from this year’s Tony Awards ceremony, check out the slideshow above.

2015 Tony Awards Red Carpet Rundown

Under Anna Wintour’s deft hand, the red carpet at this year’s Tony Awards seemed more like a runway as it was practically littered with models. There were certainly a lot more stars decked out in big name designer fare courtesy of Valentino, Naeem Khan, Balenciaga, Jason Wu, Michael Kors and Delpozo. Color was definitely trending with a rainbow of shades from purple to crimson and variations of blue gracing the event. Embellishments, embroidery and structured elements served a supporting role by enhancing not only numerous gowns, but quite a few clutches and footwear as well. Attendees piled on the bling in an effort to stand out (and maybe in an attempt to satisfy Ms. Wintour’s high expectations), favoring statement earrings, dramatic necklaces and fancy bracelets.

Stars Travel to Texas for the Academy of Country Music Awards

Since everything is bigger in Texas, it wasn’t surprising that last night’s 50th Academy of Country Music Awards at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas reportedly set a new Guinness World Record for the most attended live award show of all time. Country music’s biggest names came out to celebrate several established acts by honoring them with Milestone Awards to mark the show’s 50th anniversary. The red carpet saw its fair share of big hair and embellishments as attendees got all gussied up for the event. It wasn’t just Country artists who made an impact at the awards, though. Actresses Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara both sparkled, while rock legend Steven Tyler turned heads in an outfit that can best be described as disjointed.
